This project involved the fit out of a new space at the Cambridge Plant for Septodont’s Novocol Pharmaceutical Division. The work included new production and testing labs, including environmental controlled rooms that required fumehoods, epoxy coating, and considerable mechanical and electrical upgrades.

A new large open laboratory, mixing laboratory, storage room, staff offices, and an ISO-classified clean room were built. In addition, Compass installed sterilization equipment and security control access systems as the project was completed in highly secure and highly sensitive areas of the building. New mechanical work including HEPA filters and HVAC was also incorporated.

One of the biggest challenges on this project was the amount of precision necessary for the clean room details, such as no seams or visible caulking to ensure no contaminants entered the environment, which left virtually no room for error. Further to that, the thermostatically controlled rooms that were built required insulated panels with cam lock securing devices and automatic thermostatically controlled door and window heaters.

Our project team worked diligently and effectively to ensure the successful delivery of this project.
