Toronto, ON - February 8, 2022 - Compass is proud to have been the construction manager for University Health Network, Toronto General Hospital's Rapid Assessment Zone project.
The Rapid Assessment Zone (RAZ) is a dedicated area in the Emergency Department (ED) to treat lower acuity patients.
As a result, patients flow through quicker. This relieves volume pressure from the ED and will dramatically decrease wait times.
This 20,000 sq ft. multi-phased renovation project was successfully delivered within a fully occupied and functional hospital.
The RAZ has been designed to re-envision the ED, with a new approach to patient flow and reduced wait times which has resulted in an improved patient experience.
