Accord Plastics is a leading full-service plastic extrusion manufacturer with in-house design, tooling, and production. They run both profile extrusion and tubing extrusion with cut-to-length and finishing – for plastics including PVC, flexible PVC, ABS, Polypropylene, Polyethylene, Acrylic, and Santoprene.

This plant expansion provides increased logistics and manufacturing line capacity for their continued growth.

The project involved the construction of a 13,000 sq. ft. second storey steel and concrete building addition and revitalized building façade for both existing and new structures.

The scope of work included the integration of mechanical and electrical systems, metal deck, roofing, architectural interior finishes, new chiller to service existing & expanded facility, new freight elevator. An architectural metal façade completely transforms the front of the building's exterior as well as the addition - offering a sleek, contemporary aesthetic that incorporates corporate colours, while improving energy efficiency and durability.

During Pre-Construction, we brought innovative solutions backed by technical expertise, and a highly disciplined approach to Construction Management.
The primary challenge was constructing this second storey addition on top of their existing manufacturing facility, all the while it remained in full operation, with two production shifts throughout construction.
Careful planning and coordination were required between the Compass team, sub-trade building partners, and Client to ensure that daily operations of their existing facility were not interrupted.

The goal was to expand their state-of-the-art facility to allow for a total of 22 advanced extrusion plastic manufacturing lines and create an impactful initial impression of the building’s façade. Collaboratively, we transformed Accord Plastic's vision from concept to reality without compromise.
